Shimogamo Shrine, 京都 日本

Yaki-Tori (Chicken on a stick)

This place was fairly new with the vintage look. The best thing was that they didn't seem to know the difference between a shot and a full glass!

When I grow up I wanna be a...

Shizukuya, 守山 滋賀

This is Italian food with a Japanese twist. The menu consists mostly of pasta but the ingredients are very Japanese, right down to the chopsticks instead of the usual spoon and fork. Reasonably priced with an average of $12.00/dish.

Yaki Tori (fried chicken on a stick)

What appears to be a mere hole in the wall, had some of the best BBQ chicken at a very low price. Bar/counter top only, no seats eat and go. Food is taken seriously over here but time to sit around is rare. Beer, $5.00/pint, chicken $1-2.00 a stick.
I paid $25.00 total.

Cafe Very Berry, Shirakawa & Ichijoji St. Kyoto

Walking down the street on a hot afternoon this huge Red Hook Indian Ale sign. I had to check it out, and for $8.00 a bottle I could resist! I tried the Spam Loco Moco topped with avocado for $9.75, and a spam club sandwich $9.75.
I left this place spending a whopping $80.00! Mostly beer. even passed out on the bus ride back to the station.
